God’s War by Kameron Hurley

My Review

What an incredible, mind-blowing book. Somewhat in the deep end of the pool when it comes to sci-fi, since there’s not a lot of exposition for world-building (Hurley world-builds through the course of the plot), but the characterization is fantastic (even if the characters aren’t universally likable) and the themes are incredible. It tackles war, religion, race and gender in a way that will make you look at the world around you and wonder, and it makes you look at the way you address those issues.
