“The catcher in the rye” by jd salenger was once banned because it was belived the killer of John Lennon had read this book an it had made him kill him. The reason for this was when they searched the room he’d been staying in they found a well thumbed book by his bed side table. They thought he’d belived he was caulfield(the main character in the book) an John Lennon became the object of his hatered because he represented everything caulfield hated.
