my kids are great
Logan and I didn’t buy them books for this birthday, because we buy them books for every occasion, and I figured maybe it was a little boring. Turns out, as much as they loved their clothes and albums, they were really disappointed to not receive any books. They were in luck, though, because my mother decided to wait ‘til she got here to get them gifts, so they could choose what they liked. The girls each got 50 dollars to spend in Books-A-Million. They were in heaven! We spent two and a half hours at the bookshop while they pored over everything and carefully budgeted their windfall for maximum reading power. Turns out intermediate readers (which includes Pokemon manga) are buy two, get one free right now, so I probably won’t see their noses out of the pages for quite some time.

I processed some Pokemon manga today at work! Also lots of national geographic easy reader type books (they had different levels). I read the cats vs dog one and cringed at the spider book.
